Reflexology

Reflexology is an ancient natural therapy which uses subtle energies of the feet to balance and harmonise the entire being, leading to health and well-being. It is based on the principle that there are reflex areas on the feet and hands which correspond to all the organs, systems and parts of the body. When these points are stimulated, tension is eased, nerve and blood supply is increased and the body's own healing potential is activated.

Benefits of Reflexology:

  • Induces a deep sense of relaxation
  • Reduces feelings of stress and anxiety
  • Promotes restful sleep
  • Increases energy levels
  • Improves blood circulation
  • Encourages, effective removal of toxins from the body
  • Strengthens the immune system
  • Alleviates back pain, migraine, arthritis, sleep disorders, hormonal imbalances and digestive disorders.
  • Enhances mood level and general feeling of well-being

What happens when I go for a treatment?

On the first visit, the reflexologist will conduct a full personal consultation.  This will take into consideration your past and present health and lifestyle.  The consultation enables the treatment to be tailored to your specific needs.

A reflexology treatment last for approximately one hour.  You simply remove your shoes and socks and you will be invited to lie on a comfortable couch.  The reflexologist will then use her hands to apply precise pressure techniques to the feet treating specific points which correspond to all organs and systems of the body.

At the end of the treatment, any specific findings will be discussed with you.  As the effects of reflexology are cumulative, it is very beneficial to have regular treatments.
